Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) vide their letter no. E(NG)-II/96/RR-1/62 dated 18-07-2005 delegated powers for recruitment to Level-1 posts to General Managers. In pursuance to this, the Railway Recruitment Cell was opened in North Central Railway.
The Railway Recruitment Cell is entrusted with the responsibility to make recruitment to all Level-1 posts including recruitment under physically handicapped quota on Zonal Railway on North Central Railway and other units in its jurisdiction.

The cell caters to filling up of Level-1 vacancies in Prayagraj, Agra, Jhansi and other workshops as well as extra divisional units in the territorial jurisdictions of North Central Railway.
